Alrighty my friends, I’m not sure how we got here but apparently, I only have a month left of college. Over the years I have shared lessons, and growing moments. There are also a few things I have not shared with you… a few of my favorite and even a little embarrassing moments.
Colorado – My roommate and I decided to take a trip to Colorado during quarantine. This was our first time traveling to Colorado and we are very “go with the flow,” type of gals when it comes to traveling. We talked to locals and looked up some hikes online. We explored Denver for a night then did day trips to Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen. I fell in love with the state and think about moving there often. We drove two and a half hours to go hiking one day, then found out that we needed a reservation. We searched for something else to do, and ending up paying $40 to go down a slide. It was sort of like a bobsled trail built into a mountain. Great views and company, but I’m pretty sure that I never need to go down another slide in my life.
Kansas City – One of my closest friends and I got invited to a frat formal in Kansas City. We had fun with our dates (who were our friends), but honestly got a little sick of them halfway through the event. My friend and I ditched our dates and had a slumber party in our hotel room. At breakfast, we ran into our dates and expressed wonder as to how we had gotten disconnected. OK, so if they are reading this. We apologize for ditching you.
LICE – Let’s take a moment of silence for this one. OK yup a handful of my friends were hanging out one weekend. One of them was in the bathroom and yelled down, “Guys, I have a bug in my hair.” UMMMM, this is not a good sign. It was head lice. Upon further review, we… Welll let’s just say we all skipped class and had to hire a woman (sent straight from Jesus) to comb through our hair seemingly strand by strand. I made it through grade school and high school, but got head lice in college. Nice.
Hmmm. In review, it seems that some of my best memories from college have nothing to do with college!
