A Moving Sound

A marriage of Taiwanese traditional sounds and Western pop experimentation, A Moving Sound fuses its original, contemporary compositions together with the traditional instruments of China and Tibet. The internationally acclaimed group’s lead singer, Mia Hsieh, uses her dreamy, hypnotic voice and dance moves to enhance the Pan-Asian music experience. The Taipei based group has performed at the Washington, D.C. Kennedy Center as well at music festivals in London and throughout Europe. The group is stopping in Chippewa Falls after performing at the World Music Festival in Madison as part of its three continent tour for 2014. Praised by world music enthusiasts, including Tom Pryor of National Geographic music, describe “A Moving Sound” as “one of the most original outfits working in world music today.” Admission: $16 adults, $15 seniors, $6 youth
