This time of year beckons reflection. As I survey my path’s direction, I am grateful. Ladies, indulge me in this open thank you letter:
I offer heartfelt thanks our community of readers. Thank you for your support through the years. For each of you who have taken the time to share how the stories of 5ive have touched your lives, I thank you. Your encouragement keeps our mission on track. Please keep it up!
Thank you to my 5ive team! I count myself blessed to work with this small crew who makes possible putting out this amazing piece of love. I appreciate your passion and your work ethic. I am honored to have each of you on my team.
I must repeat … if not for our advertisers, there would be no 5ive for Women. So thank you, each and every one of you who has supported 5ive by choosing us for advertisement. Ladies, please support these companies and services who have invested in the community of women in the Chippewa Valley.
Thank you, my beautiful children for keeping me humble. It is an amazing gift to parent each of you. Thank you for challenging me, making me dig for answers, and making me smile (most days). Watching you become incredible people makes me even more proud to be your mom. You are all by far my most exhilarating journey, and I love the ride.
Thank you to our school for allowing my children to eat even when their lunch accounts are in the red. I swear I just wrote a check for that! Thank you to Quinn’s preschool teachers for saying nothing when he shows up late and leaves early. Your compassion and love for him gives me comfort and peace. Also, thank you for not questioning Q’s insistence on wearing his new winter hunting boots since September.
Thank you Castle Rock Organic FarmsTM and the wonderful man who delivers our milk and eggs every Wednesday without fail. You both save me time and spare me from hearing the once-common cries of “There’s no milk!” Sometimes, it’s the little things.
Thank you, my wonderful posse of women friends who have my back no matter what. Thank you for accepting me without judgment as my crazy-busy self. Thank you for laughing with me—it really is the best medicine.
I hope this Joy in the Journey issue will encourage you to embrace where you are and love it! Enjoy tips on how to look your best at any age. And don’t miss the tips on clean eating through the holidays. These helpful strategies will be posted on my fridge.
Hang on! Here we go into another holiday season and new year. Let’s take time to reflect. Let’s slow down and reclaim a little white space. In lieu of New Year’s resolutions, I prefer writing goals for the year. I’ll keep you posted!
I wish all of my readers a wonderful Christmas season and a very happy, healthy, and exciting new year. Take time for all that is good in the ongoing journey of faith, family, friends, fitness, and finance.
