Ladies, once again we close in on another year’s end. I ask myself once more, where did the year go? The quote, “The days are long, but the years are short” is beyond fitting.
This issue is dedicated to forgiveness and fulfillment. In a year in which our country has faced such challenging times, I know you will find reprieve in the beautiful articles in this issue.
The other day, I stopped at a local gas station. As I was leaving, the cashier said, “I love your magazine. It always has such happy articles. I keep it by my bed and it helps me relax as I go to sleep.” Her comment stopped me in my tracks. I was touched. There are so many scary and tragic things happening in our world today, at times it overwhelms. 5ive for Women will continue to offer uplifting, inspired articles to help women navigate this crazy, beautiful world.
I put forth a challenge, for myself and for you, my loyal readers. Let’s make this a holiday season to forgive. Let’s forgive ourselves for not being all we think we should be. Let’s forgive ourselves for overindulging and let us forgive ourselves for not being everything to everyone. Ladies, the next one is big, so brace yourselves: let’s forgive those who have hurt us. I have learned the only way to true fulfillment is through forgiveness. I forgive myself and I forgive those who have somehow disappointed or let me down. As we move into this hectic season, let’s take time to reflect on the year, taking inventory and forgiving while embracing what this holiday season is all about. If we can do this, I do believe, we are on our way to true fulfillment.
Finally, with much gratitude, I end yet another year with 5ive for Women I am inspired by all the women in this magazine. I am proud of what this magazine offers to so many people. I am grateful beyond words for our advertisers and contributors. Without them, we do not have this wonderful magazine. In 2018, join me in the continuing journey of faith, family, friends, fitness, and finance.
