The eighth annual DANCING WITH THE EAU CLAIRE STARS will be held Friday, September 9, at Zorn Arena on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and dinner, and the celebrity dance competition begins at 7:45 p.m. Tickets for this year’s event go on sale August 1st, and last year’s event was SOLD OUT.
Based on the popular ABC television show, the event features local celebrities competing in two rounds of dancing – a compulsory dance and a freestyle dance of their choice. Each celebrity dancer is partnered with a veteran stage performer and a choreographer, and rehearse for several weeks before the competition.
Tickets are $75 per person for dinner and the dancing competition. The event is a benefit for the Eau Claire Children’s Theatre and is sponsored by WQOW News 18, Blugold Dining by Sodexo, Menomonie Street Dental, iHeart Media, Stucky Chiropractic, Plank Enterprises, Charter Bank, Larson Orthodontic Specialists, and Johnson Litho Graphics.
